DataBank Partner Program
We are the partner you bring in when the content gets complicated.
Your customers show up with information ranging from a little disorganized to genuinely unmanageable. When that’s what’s standing between you and the deal, we’re the team you bring in, no matter how complex the starting point is, from getting the content in the door to moving it into the right system to running the work that follows. We’ve done this for 30+ years, and it’s why Box and Hyland both named us their partner of the year.
Who We Are & What We Do
What we take off your plate, so you can focus on the deal
We’re the team partners bring in for the document and data work that’s outside their own wheelhouse: scanning and digitizing paper archives, migrating content out of legacy systems, and building the workflows that keep it all running afterward. We work inside a network of technology partners across every major content platform, Hyland, Box, and others, so whatever you sell or advise on, we can plug into it. And we stay on the account after the initial project, which means the relationship keeps working in your favor long after the deal closes.
Here’s exactly what that looks like, in three stages:
Intake
We take the paper, mail, and scanned documents your customer can’t get through, so it stops holding up the deal.
Manage
We move that content into whatever platform you sell or recommend, and keep it organized once it’s there.
Activate
We build the automation and workflows that keep your customer relying on that platform, and on you, long after go-live.

Hyland
2025 Global Partner of the Year
DataBank has worked with Hyland’s OnBase platform for 30+ years and is the largest OnBase partner in North America, supporting over 340 OnBase clients directly.
What we do together:
- Implement and optimize OnBase environments for new and existing clients
- Migrate legacy content and records into OnBase from old or unsupported systems
- Provide ongoing managed support for OnBase environments after go-live
- Connect DataBank’s document capture work directly into OnBase workflows
Result:
In 2025, Hyland gave out 5 global partner awards. DataBank won 3 of them: Global Partner of the Year, Industry Excellence Partner of the Year (U.S. & Canada), and Performance Partner of the Year (U.S. & Canada).
Box
New Partner of the Year
Box gives organizations a modern, AI-ready home for their content, but most organizations adopting it still have content trapped in paper, scattered files, and old systems that Box was never built to reach on its own. DataBank closes that gap.
What we do together:
- Digitize paper archives directly into searchable Box files
- Migrate content out of legacy systems like FileNet, Documentum, and OpenText into Box
- Structure and enrich content with our AI tool, PageIQ, so it’s ready the moment it lands in Box
- Set up Box implementations around how a customer’s teams actually work
We’ve also built four solutions that now live directly inside Box’s own Solutions marketplace, visible to every Box user: Intelligent Claims Operations, Land & Lease Intelligence, Unified Eligibility Case Operations, and Mail-to-Workflow Automation.
Result:
Box named DataBank its New Partner of the Year this year.
Four Kinds of Partners, One Shared Gap
Different businesses, the same missing piece
Government Contractors
The Challenge: As a government contractor, your bid and your delivery both run on documentation: case files, permits, licensing records, whatever the contract touches. A backlog here doesn't just slow down the work. It can put your next contract, your compliance standing, and the audit you and your government client are both accountable for at risk.
Clearing backlogs fast enough to support an active proposal or audit, and leaving records audit-ready once cleared.
Supporting eligibility and benefits documentation (Medicaid, SNAP, TANF) to speed determinations.
Migrating existing case files and legacy records systems without disrupting a contract that's already in flight.
Impact: A public agency cleared a 180,000-report backlog in 90 days. The Massachusetts Registry of Vital Records cut retrieval time from 10 minutes to 3, a 70% improvement, after digitizing 12 million records, while strengthening its audit readiness. That's a result your contract gets credit for.
Software Companies
The Challenge: Your platform is only as useful as what a customer can get into it. Content stuck outside it, or trapped in an old system, caps what your product can do for them, and caps your growth in that account.
Digitizing the paper and inbound documents sitting outside your platform.
Moving content out of legacy systems and into the platform you sell.
Validating and enriching content accuracy so it's trustworthy the moment it reaches your platform, without competing with your own extraction engine.
Results: This is the same approach behind our work with Box, its New Partner of the Year. We get the content ready. Your product gets the credit, and you get to be the one who solved it for your customer.
Consulting Firms
The Challenge: Consulting engagements often come with document-heavy work: sorting records, organizing case files, and migrating old systems that don't need a consultant's expertise or billing rate, but still have to get done before the real analysis can start. On some engagements, especially government-adjacent ones, that work also carries strict chain-of-custody requirements your team isn't built to handle.
Taking on document and data volume work directly, so your team stays on the relationship and the recommendation.
Carrying the custody chain and accountability, especially on government-adjacent engagements.
Migrating and organizing the underlying content behind the recommendation itself.
What This Means for You: A recommendation is only as credible as the data underneath it. We make sure that data is trustworthy before your team presents it, so the win in the room belongs to you.
The Challenge: Your AI is only as good as what you feed it. The paper and legacy backlog sitting in front of your platform isn't just a delay, it's the reason your model doesn't have real data to work with on day one.
Clearing the paper and legacy backlog standing between your platform and its first real dataset.
Validating and structuring content before it reaches your model, so your engine trains on trustworthy input from day one.
Migrating and organizing existing document volume so it's ready for your platform without your team touching it.
What This Means for You: You own the AI and the methodology. We own the data operations underneath it. Your customer stays your customer, we're the force multiplier behind the data your platform runs on. We both need volume to grow, yours from what your AI can prove, ours from the documents behind it, and we handle the discovery and quoting on our side so you just bring us the customer's need.
What We Look For
A good partnership works both ways.
We’re selective about who we partner with, because a partnership only works if it’s built to last. Here’s what we look for:
A repeatable sales motion
Not a one-time referral, but a pattern where this kind of opportunity comes up often.
A willingness to co-sell
We do our best work when we’re part of the conversation early, not after the fact.
Geographic or vertical alignment
The strongest partnerships are the ones where our footprint and yours genuinely overlap.
A belief that technology solves this
We work best with partners already trying to fix the problem, not just naming it.
What We Invest In
It’s not a referral list. It’s a relationship.
Once you’re a partner, we stay involved. Here’s what we invest in to make sure the partnership actually works, not just launches:
Training
So your team is never guessing when to bring us in, and knows exactly how to position it with the customer.
Marketing
Co-branded materials and real support to help you sell alongside us, not next to us.
Quarterly business reviews
Regular strategic check-ins that keep both sides aligned as the partnership grows over time.
A dedicated partnership lead
Direct access to someone accountable for the relationship, not a rotating point of contact.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the DataBank partner program?
DataBank’s partner program connects software companies, consulting firms, and government contractors with the document and data work sitting underneath whatever they sell, advise on, or deliver. Instead of building that capability internally, partners refer the work to DataBank and we handle it, while they stay focused on their own product, recommendation, or contract.
How do I become a DataBank partner?
Reach out to our partnerships team using the form on this page, or connect directly with Jonathan, who leads partnerships at DataBank. From there, it’s a short conversation about where the content and data gap shows up in your business, followed by a partner agreement that covers referral structure and any compliance requirements specific to your segment.
What's the difference between a referral partner and a reseller?
A reseller sells a DataBank service directly as part of their own offering. A referral partner instead sends us the customers or opportunities where document or data work is the blocker, and we deliver that work while the referral partner keeps ownership of the relationship. Most of DataBank’s partner program today is built around the referral model, since it’s the fastest way for a partner to close a gap without taking on new delivery work themselves.
What kinds of companies partner with DataBank?
Three types most often: software and content platform companies whose products depend on structured data, consulting firms running document-heavy engagements, and government contractors bidding on records, case management, or modernization work. Each has its own version of the same problem: content that’s too messy, complex, or high-volume for their own team or process to fully handle.
Does DataBank compete with the software or consulting firms it partners with?
No. DataBank doesn’t sell competing software, doesn’t take over client relationships, and doesn’t go around a partner directly to their customer. We handle the content and data work underneath whatever platform, service, or contract a partner already delivers, and non-solicitation terms are addressed directly in every partner agreement.
Can IDP or document platform companies partner with DataBank?
Yes, and it’s often the clearest fit. Every IDP platform’s extraction is only as good as the source content feeding it. DataBank validates and structures that content before it reaches a partner’s platform, which means we’re not a competing extraction engine, we’re the reason a partner’s platform can reach content it couldn’t process on its own.
Is DataBank secure enough to work on government or regulated industry contracts?
DataBank operates three regional, SOC 2–compliant data processing facilities and has worked inside regulated industries for 30+ years. Security requirements vary by engagement: CJIS considerations can apply to law-enforcement-adjacent records specifically, and FedRAMP applies to cloud-hosted platforms rather than a scanning or conversion service. We’ll walk through what’s actually required for your specific contract rather than assume a one-size-fits-all answer.
Does DataBank work with government contractors on active bids?
Yes. DataBank supports contractors clearing backlogs fast enough to hold up in a proposal and delivering work that holds up under audit once the contract is awarded. A state services agency partner cleared a 180,000-report backlog in 90 days, well ahead of the original estimate, which is the kind of timeline a capture manager needs to write into a bid with confidence.
What industries does DataBank specialize in?
DataBank works across the public sector, energy, healthcare payers, insurance, and education, with 220+ insurance clients, 60+ oil and gas clients, 90+ financial institution clients, and 130+ education clients today. For partners, that depth means we already understand the regulatory and operational pressure specific to the industries your own customers work in.
How does DataBank decide which partnerships to pursue?
Deliberately, not opportunistically. We look for partners where DataBank fills a real, ongoing gap for their business or their customers, with the goal of a long-term relationship rather than a one-off referral.
How long does it take to get started as a partner?
Most partners are up and running after one scoping conversation and a signed partner agreement. The timeline depends mostly on how quickly referral structure and any segment-specific requirements get finalized on both sides, not on anything technical, since there’s no product integration required to start referring work to us.
