Through the Coronavirus Relief Fund, the CARES Act has provided funds to State and Local governments as a way to deliver added support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As of right now, the funds have to be used by the end of 2020 but there are still many State and Local governments that have not fully utilized those funds. Although time is running out, there are still many ways to benefit from the CARES Act and support both government employees and the constituents they serve.
You have to be realistic with the time you have left. While tackling a full enterprise solution by the end of the year doesn’t seem realistic, there are still small, but effective, steps you can take to digitize daily tasks, such as automating workflows for easy collaboration between employees or adding online forms so constituents can take advantage of government services during this time when they cannot go into your offices.
Implementing OnBase add-ons and modules can be an effective way to create a “working from home” environment. Our subject matter experts have put together a list of OnBase modules that can support your time-sensitive needs during today’s abnormal reality:
Access & Workflow Clients
Allows you to collect and distribute work in smart ways while also giving full visibility and access to all parties. If you’re used to talking through a project in person with coworkers, you can put those processes into a workflow and communicate through it as opposed to yelling across a desk.
Allows you to work outside of your network and without an install footprint. While you’re working from home, OnBase Web Client allows you to use your computer without having to go through VPNs.
Extends EDM functionality by giving you storage, retrieval, and form library access straight to your mobile devices.
DocuSign & DocuSign Integration
Gives you the ability to send documents to parties and obtain electronic signatures. DocuSign’s integration with OnBase allows you to digitize the signature process rather than getting them through mail or in-person.
ShareBase is a central repository that allows you to communicate and share documents/workspaces with both internal and external parties.
Allows multiple parties to work on a single document and creates a new version of the document every time revisions are made so you always have access to the historical data.
A tool that displays information stored in OnBase in a visual, interactive way. This allows you and your coworkers to quickly view and interpret relevant data and make proactive business decisions remotely.
Replaces paper forms with digital versions. Forms can go onto government websites with little to no hurdles and then can be imported into OnBase and kicked off into a workflow.
