Kodak Veteran Joins DataBank IMX Management Team

John Gerry becomes General Manager of Databank’s Western Region

Beltsville, MD (PR Web) January 28, 2009 – DataBank, a national document management systems and document conversion services leader has announced the appointment of John Gerry as the General Manager of their Western Region, headquartered in Sacramento, CA.  Gerry comes to DataBank after 30 years with Kodak where he held several management positions in film-based and digital imaging systems.

Gerry will replace Bob Wyllie and will report directly to Dick Aschman, DataBank’s CEO. Gerry will be responsible for DataBank operations located in Sacramento, CA and sales throughout the West.

During his Kodak career John managed document imaging sales to the State of California and was involved in selling and implementing several microfilm and digital imaging solutions that resulted in business process improvements and cost savings throughout the state.

Gerry was also a key member of the marketing team that developed and launched Kodak’s first high-speed document scanner, the Imagelink 900 that secured Kodak’s dominance as the industry leader in high volume scanning environments.

Most recently John was the Director of Business Development for Kodak’s Independent Software Vendors.  In that capacity he managed the partnering, relationships, and revenue responsibility for software providers integrating with Kodak’s digital imaging products.

John is a certified AIIM (www.aiim.org) ECM Practitioner and a graduate of Jacksonville University.
