Chuck is a Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of DataBank. Chuck helped DataBank establish innovative and sound infrastructure, operating methodologies and technology platforms that our clients have come to rely on for superior results.
As an entrepreneur, Chuck has extensive experience building software companies and document management/BPA service organizations. Some of his successes include start-ups, private equity partnering and international experience operating businesses in Australia, New Zealand and Western Europe. He is recognized for driving market share, operational excellence and delivering results. Chuck enjoys building and leading teams and is strengthened by a strong financial background and an intense focus on customers and their specific needs, goals, and satisfaction. He graduated from Loyola University.
Sandy has extensive experience in both public accounting and private industry. She began her career with Ernst & Young in the Entrepreneurial Services Group in New York, where her focus was primarily on young, mid-sized entities. Sandy then moved into the energy sector where she held a variety of senior accounting positions working with an international Income Trust Fund. During her tenure with the Fund she was involved in M&A activities, participating on the buy-side. Sandy has been in the ECM/BPA industry since 2003, joining DataBank and later becoming our Corporate Controller in 2005. She was named Chief Financial Officer in 2008 and also serves as Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the Company.
Sandy has been instrumental in the design and development of DataBank’s financial reporting, governance and compliance systems. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and is involved in post-graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.
Chad is a leader in the ECM/BPA industry with extensive experience in imaging software, network and storage infrastructure, data and process security and data extraction technologies that drive our industry. He oversees the internal and external technology and information requirements of the corporation and occasionally serves as a consultant to clients on technical and security measures. He leads staff and support teams that drive business process improvements at all levels of the organization. He was instrumental in the design of the DataBank Customer Support model used to deliver world-class customer support.
In response to the growing concerns about security in the industry, Chad led DataBank’s initiative to implement the most secure, reliable and efficient network in our industry – evaluating hardware, software, policies and procedures, and best-in-class partners. With his insight, management and direction, DataBank achieved across its National grid of image processing centers, the widely recognized auditing standard SOC-2 (formerly Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70 Type II) certification – Data Security Standard (DSS) certification with independent third-party assurances for service organizations. DataBank now provides secure hosting and SaaS services throughout the U.S. and ensures customer data is safe from breaches when in DataBank hands.
Matt Charlson spearheads Client Solutions for DataBank. He focuses on strategic opportunities with our customers and industry partners, and sets the long term direction for the development of solution offerings to enhance our customers ROI. He has executive responsibility over the pre-sales, business development, delivery, and customer support departments within DataBank’s professional services organization. Those teams architect great solutions, deliver what we promise and provide exceptional customer care. Matt has almost 20 years of ECM and business process improvement experience across a wide variety of industries. Matt has built a reputation for developing sound business strategies, frameworks for new solutions that are ultimately feasible for the organization, impactful, and valuable for the customer. Prior to DataBank, Matt was co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of eDocument Resources, based in Minnesota. Matt is a graduate of Minnesota State University and lives with his family in Cincinnati, Ohio.
As head of sales and marketing operations within the US, Ron brings more than 20 years of operational strategy, sales experience, and business process expertise to DataBank. He plays an instrumental role, providing purpose for our sales organization and the vision for that team to deliver innovative and successful enterprise solutions. He is not only passionate about the solutions and services that DataBank provides, but about building a strong company culture in which employees can thrive and grow. Prior to joining DataBank, Ron was the President of OSAM Document Solutions, Inc., which was acquired by DataBank in 2012. Ron lives in Arizona with his wife and two children.
Kelly joined DataBank in November 2014 to lead the Human Resources team and help develop and grow our business. As a partner with DataBank’s operational leadership team, Kelly is responsible for driving a wide variety of human resources initiatives, spearheading recruitment and retention efforts, and governance over payroll preparation and processes. She leads an HR team focused on providing high quality service to its customers – the 850 members of the DataBank team.
Prior to joining DataBank, Kelly served as the VP of HR at Tel Hai Retirement Community. Additionally, she has 15+ years of experience building and managing the HR function at several start up and high growth companies – including Medical Broadcasting Company, CB Technologies, and TargetRx. She enjoys the entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and incredible talent found in growth organizations.
Kelly earned both a masters degree and a baccalaureate from West Chester University.
Steve oversees the BPA imaging operations across the United States. Previous to this position he ran the imaging operations for the Healthcare Solutions division and was Vice President of Operations in the North East region.
Steve focuses on leveraging his team’s collective years of knowledge, experience and technology to deliver high-quality solutions and services.
Steve and his wife live in New Jersey.
